What will you be doing to celebrate May the Fourth Be With You?

Here’s a great option: Disney XD is hosting an all-day marathon of LEGO Star Wars programming! All episodes from the first season of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures will air along with additional LEGO Star Wars specials for 24-hours straight on THURSDAY, MAY 4th!

Additionally, five brand new shorts featuring the Freemaker family will air throughout the day on Disney XD. The never-before-seen animated short-form content gives a sneak peek of the adventures to come in season two of “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures.” The shorts are also available on the Disney XD App and Disney XD YouTube!

We are so excited that LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures has been picked up for a second season and will debut this summer. We look forward to sharing an interview with Freemaker Adventures Emmy-nominated composer Michael Kramer. Until then, we can celebrate seeing Kordi, Rowan, Zander and my favorite, Roger in all-new adventures on May the Fourth. Here’s another peak at the Season 2 Trailer to get you excited:

116: The Early Days of Star Wars Fandom with Craig Miller

star wars fandom craig miller

Our special guest Craig Miller was the Publicist and Director of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm during the hey-day of the 70’s and 80’s. Ever wonder how fans knew what was going on in fandom before social media? Whose job was it to tell the world about this new movie called Star Wars? Craig shares some awesome stories.

Now speaking of social media… SO MUCH STAR WARS this week! Rogue One Teaser Trailer dropped as well as The Force Awakens Blu-Ray with Special Features. We review some of the bonus features with Skywalker and blogger, Drew Kaplan. Then, Richard and Sarah dive in to the ROGUE ONE TEASER TRAILER. The music! The plot! AT-ATs!

Next week we’ll take a deep dive into the documentaries including A Cinematic Journey, Crafting Creatures and Building BB-8.

115: STAR WARS REBELS Season 2 Finale Press Coverage Special

In true Disney fashion, Disney Channel PR and Lucasfilm put on a genuine Red Carpet bash at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA for the finale of Star Wars: Rebels, Season 2. In this episode, Richard and Sarah take you to the Red Carpet, inside the Main Theater with Q&A on “Twilight of the Apprentice” from cast and crew, and further to one-on-one interviews with Dave Filoni, Ashley Eckstein, Vanessa Marshall and Kevin Kiner.

*SPOILER ALERT* If you have NOT seen this finale – turn back now! Not only was the Q&A held after we all saw “Twilight of the Apprentice” together, but we also give our thoughts on spoiler-heavy moments. The Q&A was moderated by Amy Ratcliffe, and we heard from writer and creator Dave Filoni, creator Simon Kinberg, Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano) and Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger). Since we bring our recorder everywhere, we had a short roundtable with fans right after the screening.

FURTHER EXPLORATION: Check out Adventures By Daddy for a complete rundown of the Red Carpet, including pictures and our Periscope. Then head over to FanGIRL Blog to watch the complete Q&A in its entirety and read some of my thoughts on “Twilight of the Apprentice”.

COMING UP: In the coming weeks we will cover the music of “Twilight of the Republic”, so email us your thoughts on any aspect of the episode to share@skywalkingthroughneverland.com.
