FULL AUDIO: Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Press Conference

On Saturday, April 15th of Star Wars Celebration Orlando, we were not only treated to an amazing Star Wars Rebels Season 4 panel, but also a Press Conference featuring Executive Producer Dave Filoni and his STAR WARS REBELS “family.” This episode contains the entire audio from that press conference.

Talent Participating:

Dave Filoni – Executive Producer

Vanessa Marshall – voice of Hera

Steve Blum – voice of Zeb

Tiya Sircar – voice of Sabine

Taylor Gray – voice of Ezra Bridger

Fortunately we were all able to ask some fun questions and make Dave Filoni dance a jig. At around 12 minutes in Sarah asks her question about the white wolf we see in the STAR WARS REBELS Season 4 Trailer. The answer garners applause from the room. Click the player to listen!

Here are some highlights from the preceding STAR WARS REBELS panel at SWCO.

115: STAR WARS REBELS Season 2 Finale Press Coverage Special

In true Disney fashion, Disney Channel PR and Lucasfilm put on a genuine Red Carpet bash at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA for the finale of Star Wars: Rebels, Season 2. In this episode, Richard and Sarah take you to the Red Carpet, inside the Main Theater with Q&A on “Twilight of the Apprentice” from cast and crew, and further to one-on-one interviews with Dave Filoni, Ashley Eckstein, Vanessa Marshall and Kevin Kiner.

*SPOILER ALERT* If you have NOT seen this finale – turn back now! Not only was the Q&A held after we all saw “Twilight of the Apprentice” together, but we also give our thoughts on spoiler-heavy moments. The Q&A was moderated by Amy Ratcliffe, and we heard from writer and creator Dave Filoni, creator Simon Kinberg, Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano) and Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger). Since we bring our recorder everywhere, we had a short roundtable with fans right after the screening.

FURTHER EXPLORATION: Check out Adventures By Daddy for a complete rundown of the Red Carpet, including pictures and our Periscope. Then head over to FanGIRL Blog to watch the complete Q&A in its entirety and read some of my thoughts on “Twilight of the Apprentice”.

COMING UP: In the coming weeks we will cover the music of “Twilight of the Republic”, so email us your thoughts on any aspect of the episode to share@skywalkingthroughneverland.com.

BONUS: Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Press Conference

Saturday, April 18th of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2015 was Star Wars Rebels day! Star Wars Celebration hosted a public panel on the Celebration Stage titled “New Allies and New Villians” featuring the trailer to Star Wars Rebels Season 2. We were blown away with the addition of Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex to the cast.

Shortly after this morning panel, the media gathered for an hour-long Press Conference where we all were able to ask questions of the producers, directors and cast of Star Wars Rebels. Participants include: Dave Filoni (Executive Producer, Supervising Director), Simon Kinberg (Executive Producer), Freddie Prinze, Jr. (Kanan), Vanessa Marshall (Hera), Tiya Sircar (Sabine), Steve Blum (Zeb) and Taylor Gray (Ezra).

We have the press conference for you in it’s entirety. It’s fun to note that there were only 2 mics and everyone was fighting for them. Of course, Richard grabbed the mic – listen for his question around 48 minutes. And our own Fangirls Going Rogue friend Tricia Barr got the final question at around 59 minutes.

Be sure to check out Episode 74 of Skywalking Through Neverland for SWRebels Red Carpet interviews, fan reactions and our reactions; and a special bonus episode of Fangirls Going Rogue coming out this Friday, April 24th, for more Red Carpet interviews and Teresa’s interview with Freddie Prinze Jr.

Episode 29: REVENGE OF THE 5TH!!

This is our most action-packed, super-fun, galactically great episode yet!  We would like to start off by saying ‘Happy Revenge Of The 5th!” We hope you had a Forceful May The 4th.

Thank you, Disney, for announcing the cast for Episode 7 this last week! (They knew this would make a perfect Tiki Cantina segment for our May the 4th Episode of Skywalking Through Neverland.) Now along with returning saga veterans like Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker we have a brand new cast to help further the story we never thought we’d get. So we called a few of our friends like Robert Bapst of The Bald Solo Podcast (who is also co-hosting this week), Scott Murray from the Assembly of Geeks podcast and our long time listener and admin of Skywalking Through Neverland Facebook Page, Donald Wicks.

A long time ago in an era known as the 70’s and 80’s when there was very little Star Wars content to help fill in the gaps, we had to go on our first impressions. We had no spin-offs or expanded universe to help us visualize what things like “the Clone Wars” meant. Who was The Emperor? And what memories did Leia actually have of her mother? We talk with friends including Chris Alexander (author of Star Wars Origami), Michael Kogge (author of The Despotica and Star Wars Insider articles) and Tricia Barr (fangirlblog.com and Fangirls Going Rogue). They reveal their first impressions of the Clone Wars, a duel between Vader and Obi-Wan at the edge of a volcano and more. This is a discussion Richard has been having with Chris Alexander since they were both dressing up as Jedi Luke back in 1984.

The very first all-Star Wars convention was held over the Memorial Day weekend, 1987, in Los Angeles to celebrate the saga’s 10th Anniversary. Richard was lucky enough to have attended!. One of the highlights was the very first appearance by George Lucas who had flown in from England where he was shooting Willow. We’ve aired some of his Q&A on past shows. We go back and review this Q&A and repeat the questions when needed or just crack-wise on questions that were asked 27 years ago…

We have so much more for today’s episode including the history of how May The 4th started, a review of The Big Bang Theory’s Star Wars episode, and, the reveal of our May the 4th Giveaway winner!

And remember, never land on Alderaan!
