Disney+ at the Drive-In!

From October 5-12, 2020, Disney+ will come to life at the Disney+ Drive-In Festival at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The screening series will bring guests together to enjoy the best of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic under the stars in a safe and entertaining experience. The week will kick off with the world premiere of “The Right Stuff” before it starts streaming Friday, October 9 on Disney+. After six nights of fan-favorite screenings open to the public, the series will wrap with the premiere of the Disney+ Original Movie “Clouds,” debuting October 16 on the service.

Capacity is extremely limited and reservations will be required to attend. Beginning Monday, September 28 at 10 a.m. PT, fans can register for complimentary tickets at www.disneyplus.com/drive-in. One registration is required for each vehicle, with a maximum of four guests per vehicle. Event capacity is extremely limited and reservations will be required.

This Week on Disney+ for Friday, Sept 25

Friday, September 25 marks the beginning of NEW Disney+ Originals rolling out on our favorite streaming service. Look for more premieres in the upcoming weeks.

Series Premiere Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom 

Narrated by everyone’s favorite Snowman, Josh Gad (Frozen, Frozen II), this series gives viewers a backstage pass to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT. Eight episodes dives into all aspects of animal care, operations and Imagineering. You’ll learn about baby Grace the gorilla, Gus the hippo, Kenya the giraffe and so many more. The series incorporates cutting-edge technology, including custom-built GoPro housings, 18-foot cranes and underwater camera systems, to reveal the world-famous dedication, pioneering conservation and visionary genius that IS Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Produced by National Geographic.

Movie Premiere Secret Society of Second-Born Royals 

This Disney+ Original Movie follows Sam, a teenage royal rebel second in line to the throne of the kingdom of Illyria. Just as Sam’s disinterest in the royal way of life is at an all-time high, she discovers she has super-human abilities and is invited to join a secret society of similar extraordinary second-born royals charged with keeping the world safe. With guidance from their Secret Society instructor James, Sam and a new class of royal recruits must first learn to harness their new powers at a top-secret training camp before they can save the world.

Weird But True! Episode 307 – “Venomous Animals”
Super Staple strikes again! The local library’s annual contest is here, and Charlie’s ready to submit his latest comic book for review. Unfortunately, Charlie’s comic book is never picked, so Carly and Charlie embark on a mission to find a new superhero and villain. But when they discover amazing things about venomous animals, Charlie and Carly must decide who the real hero is. They head to California Academy of Sciences to learn all about venomous species.

One Day At Disney Episode 143 – “Ashley Girdich: R&D Imagineer Manager”
Project manager Ashley Girdich oversees dynamic assignments for Walt Disney Imagineering’s Research and Development group. From managing teams to keeping projects and plans on track, Ashley is constantly pushing boundaries to ensure the next generation of Imagineers continue to create industry-leading, interactive experiences for park guests.
