Season of the Force 2025 returns to the Disneyland Resort! We are so excited that this Star Wars-themed season is returning annually. Opening day felt like a party and a family reunion all rolled into one. If you are a Star Wars fan that also enjoys Disney Theme Parks, this is the perfect crossover event.

Season of the Force runs from March 28 through May 11, 2025, with limited time entertainment, Luke Skywalker appearing in Batuu, new themed food and merchandise, and a NEW nighttime experience “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga”. Read on for details and reels from opening day. Then watch our podcast episode for a more detailed review.

Pro Tip: At Oga’s Cantina, Richard asked for this drink, the Fuzzy Taun-Taun, “extra fuzzy”, and the bartender returned with a whole extra glass of the special foam topper that makes your mouth numb!

Luke Skywalker has arrived on Batuu

This year, Luke Skywalker (circa The Mandalorian timeline) travels to Batuu to visit with guests. We noticed that he would often pick one person out of a crowd to walk with them in a circuit around the Marketplace, imparting wisdom and advice. R2-D2 accompanies him sometimes, and it’s quite the treat seeing the two walking together around Batuu.

“Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” Projections Show

Last year, Disneyland debuted “Fire of the Rising Moons”, which showcased Star Wars music in Galaxy’s Edge during Disneyland’s fireworks shows. This year, Imagineers have leveled up the experience to add a new nightly projection show “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga.” Yes, this is NIGHTLY, as the projection show does not need fireworks as a backdrop.

This show takes guests on a storytelling adventure across the galaxy. Stunning projection effects transform the spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon evoking memories of some of the greatest moments in galactic history. Of course, an iconic musical score, comprised of familiar themes heard throughout the films of the Skywalker saga, draws the audience into the legendary story of the Skywalkers. Here is a tease:

While “Shadows of Memory” debuts during Season of the Force, it will continue indefinitely beyond May 11th.

NEW Star Wars Merchandise Begins to Roll Out

Several different lines of merchandise began rolling out on March 28th, but you’ll have to wait for some items. We were given a preview and here are our favorites. First up – Clink from THE BAD BATCH is now a cute wind-up toy! He’s a slow mover, and it’s part of his charm.

Who doesn’t love a mouse droid? Well, soon you can purchase a remote-controlled, gigantic mouse droid! It makes sounds and goes much faster than we imagined.

Several more merchandise items have debuted, or will slowly become available during Season of the Force.

Hyperspace Mountain Returns!

The high-speed Space Mountain overlay, Hyperspace Mountain, returns to Tomorrowland. We can’t wait for the BEST overlay of any theme park attraction. Get ready to race through the galaxy, encounter an Imperial Star Destroyer and dodge TIE fighters along the way. Hyperspace Mountain lives up to its name.
