About the Hosts
Richard Woloski
In the Summer of 1977, when everyone else in the world was seeing Star Wars, Richard was not. He held out because he was a rebel and he was rebelling. He couldn’t hold out much longer and needed to see what the fuss was all about. So off to the multiplex (which consisted of 3 screens) he went and…LIFE WAS NEVER THE SAME!
Star Wars was such a huge inspiration for Richard that it lead him to film school then off to Los Angeles where he worked in the film industry, most notably the creature effects department. Films he has worked on include Jumanji, The Arrival and many of the Puppet Master films.
Richard has been a Star Wars fan through the highs and lows and has had a lifetime of adventure. The biggest adventure of them all was marrying his sweetie wife Sarah! In their nine years of marriage they have gone on film location scouting, raising their Hoojibs (you may call them bunnies) and visiting the Disney theme parks all around the world. But in 2013, they collaborated their creativity into Skywalking Through Neverland and several podcast spinoff shows. And what lies ahead is what gets Richard up every morning, as long as he remember to never land on Alderaan!
Richard’s dislikes are spiders, sharks, intersections and watching someone open a vintage Star Wars collectible. Richard likes to push big red buttons.
Sarah Woloski
I was born after The Empire Strikes Back *gasp* and so am generation 1.5 of Star Wars fandom – yes, I got into Star Wars in the Dark Times of the early ’90’s – thanks in part to Timothy Zahn’s amazing Thrawn Trilogy, as well as the Han Solo/Princess Leia love story. To me, Star Wars is all about romance!
As for Disney fandom, I was THE perfect age when the Disney Renaissance hit – The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King cemented my love for Disney. Not to mention my worn-out Mary Poppins videotape. Moving to Los Angeles to attend college at USC brought about my love for the Disney Parks, and I’ve been an AP ever since.
Richard and I host and produce Skywalking Through Neverland, Classic Marvel Star Wars Comics, The Culture POPCast and Step In Time. We also attend Star Wars, Disney and Marvel film screenings and press conferences to bring you film reviews and behind-the-scenes content. HUGE theme park fans, we also love sharing news, pictures and info from the latest Theme Park openings and seasonal debuts around SoCal. We are a husband and wife team, and our love of Star Wars and Disney brought us together. Now we share that passion with all of you Skywalkers!
