TODAY IN STAR WARS HISTORY: 9/21/1985

The Ewok Adventure wins the award for ‘Outstanding Visual Effects’ at the 37th Primetime Emmy Awards. Awards were given to Jon Berg, John Ellis, Chris Evans, Herley Jessup, Dennis Muren, Michael Pangrazio, and Phil Tippet. The film was also nominated for ‘Outstanding Children’s Program.’ The full ceremony was held the next day and broadcast on ABC-TV.
