Verizon Wireless releases the highly anticipated limited edition DROID R2-D2 cell phone by Motorola.
We have a fun story about purchasing the very first one released in the US! With a graphic design printed on the phone itself of the Astromech Droid, the DROID R2-D2 by Motorola was packaged in a custom box resembling carbonite and came with a Star Wars media dock and wired stereo headset. Exclusive content came preloaded on the special edition smartphone including R2-D2 notification sounds and ringtones, four live wallpapers, a clock widget, “The Best of R2-D2” video with original Cantina music, and a Binoculars app.
Did you have this R2 phone? Do you still use it now? Put the answer in the video comments.
