INTERVIEW: Nika Futterman, voice of Asajj Ventress | TALES OF THE UNDERWORLD
Are you ready to hear from Asajj Ventress herself? Nika Futterman has voiced Asajj Ventress since THE CLONE WARS movie in 2008, and we had a chance to talk with her in a Star Wars Fan Site Roundtable all about TALES OF THE UNDERWORLD. She shared some great tidbits about her process, and Ventress’s mindset in her character journey.
This Star Wars anthology series follows in the footsteps of the previous TALES OF THE JEDI, and TALES OF THE EMPIRE anthologies. Like those, TALES OF THE UNDERWORLD is created by Dave Filoni and builds out 2 characters’ stories in 3 episodes each.
This particular anthology follows Cad Bane from street rat to young bounty hunter, and Asajj Ventress from her supposed death in the novel Dark Disciple, and how she survived during the Empire’s reign. This is all set before her eventual appearance in THE BAD BATCH.
TALES OF THE UNDERWORLD premieres on Disney+ on May 4th, 2025, and we recommend you watch the Asajj Ventress episodes first before listening to this Nika Futterman Roundtable, so you have a better grasp on her story.
