Our Must-See Panels and Events at San Diego Comic-Con 2026
San Diego Comic-Con is almost here, and the 2026 schedule is packed with exciting panels celebrating Star Wars, superheroes, animation, television, movies, music, science, and much more. To help you plan your weekend, we’ve curated a list of the panels and special events that have caught our attention.
Panels and events affiliated with the Skywalking Network have been highlighted in blue! Look for Richard and Sarah of Skywalking Through Neverland, and Melissa Miller and James Floyd of Star Warsologies.

Thursday, July 23
Musical Anatomy of a Superhero
- Time: 10:00–11:00 a.m.
- Location: Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront
- Details: Go behind the music of superhero storytelling with composers Mick Giacchino (VisionQuest), Kris Bowers and Michael Dean Parsons (Spider-Noir), Claudia Sarne (Supergirl), Brian Tyler (The Super Mario Galaxy Movie), and Michael Giacchino (Spider-Man: Brand New Day).
3rd Annual Fan Favorites: Behind the Scenes of Popular Film and TV Shows
- Time: 1:00–2:00 p.m.m.
- Location: Room 7AB
- Details: Creatives behind Obsession, Euphoria, One Piece, Spider-Noir, The Boys, and Paradise discuss the craft that brings these fan-favorite productions to life. Panelists include editor Aaron I. Butler, ACE; costume designer Blair James; editor Eric Litman, ACE; editor Jennifer Barbot, ACE; VFX supervisor John L. Weckworth; and composer Matt Bowen. Moderated by creator Monse of CVNELA.
San Diego on Screen
- Time: 2:00 p.m.
- Location: Room 5AB
- Details: From the Top Gun films and Veronica Mars to One Battle After Another, San Diego has played a memorable role on screens both big and small. Local film experts and members of the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes creative team explore the history, logistics, and economic impact of filming throughout the city and county. Moderated by Melissa T. Miller.
Collider’s Directors on Directing
- Time: 3:30–4:30 p.m.
- Location: Hall H
- Details: Directors Zach Cregger (Barbarian, Weapons, Resident Evil), Jonathan Goldstein, and John Francis Daley (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Game Night, Mayday) discuss the creative choices, challenges, and craft behind directing for Hollywood.
Thematic Tunes from Star Wars to Pokémon
- Time: 4:15–5:15 p.m.
- Location: Room 6A
- Details: BMI and White Bear PR bring together composers from some of the most passionately followed franchises on screen. Panelists include Ed Goldfarb (Pokémon), Claudia Sarne (Supergirl), Trey Toy (Castlevania: Nocturne), and Kevin, Deana, and Sean Kiner (Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord). Co-moderated by Louie Stephens and Chandler Poling.
Inside the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

- Details: Celebrate the art of visual storytelling with an exclusive look inside the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Senior Curator and Head of Film Programs Ryan Linkof joins Stoopid Buddy Stoodios co-founders Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and DC President, Publisher, and CCO Jim Lee for a look at museum content, film programming, narrative art, and the unexpected detours that have inspired George Lucas and generations of artists. Brad Bird: My Cinematic Journey

- Details: Academy Award–winning filmmaker Brad Bird reflects on the creative process and storytelling behind The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. He will also share an exclusive first look at the upcoming Skydance Animation and Netflix feature Ray Gunn. Moderated by Collider editor-in-chief Steven Weintraub.
The Her Universe Fashion Show 2026

- Details: The Her Universe Fashion Show returns with a celebration of fandom-inspired couture, presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.
Friday, July 24
Ghosts and Eternally Yours
- Time: 11:15 a.m.
- Location: Ballroom 20
- Details: CBS Studios presents a supersized comedy block. Stars and executive producers from Ghosts offer a look at the series, followed by an exclusive premiere screening and panel for the upcoming vampire comedy Eternally Yours from creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman.
Star Wars Books from Random House Worlds
- Time: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
- Location: Room 7AB
- Details: Journey to a galaxy far, far away with Random House Worlds editor Gabriella Muñoz and bestselling authors Madeleine Roux (Star Wars: Legacy) and Ashley Poston (Star Wars: Eyes Like Stars). The group will discuss how these books and other stories enrich the Star Wars universe and offer fresh perspectives on its storytelling. Moderated by Editorial Director Tom Hoeler.
Collider’s Showrunners on Showrunning
- Time: 3:00–4:00 p.m.
- Location: Ballroom 20
- Details: Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation, King of the Hill), Katie Dippold (Widow’s Bay), and Damon Lindelof (Lost, Watchmen, The Leftovers) discuss what it takes to create and run a television series—from breaking stories and casting characters to protecting a creative vision when production plans go sideways.
Spaceballs: The Comic-Con Panel
- Time: 4:00 p.m.
- Location: Hall H
- Details: The cast and filmmakers offer a behind-the-Schwartz look at Spaceballs: The New One, the sequel to Mel Brooks’ 1987 cult classic, arriving in April 2027. Buckle up—ludicrous speed ahead!
4th Annual Star Wars Trivia Party
- Time: 9:00–10:00 p.m.
- Location: Room 7AB
- Details: Teams compete in spirited rounds of Star Wars trivia covering the films, television series, charades, and more. Hosts Richard and Sarah Woloski of the Skywalking Through Neverland podcast and authors of So You Think You Know Star Wars: 50 Years of Trivia & Fun Facts lead this fast-paced “competition of chaos.” You don’t need to be a trivia expert, and there will be prizes, prizes, prizes!
Saturday, July 25
The Simpsons
- Time: 11:45 a.m.
- Location: Ballroom 20
- Details: The Simpsons returns to Comic-Con for what it playfully calls its “one millionth” appearance. Matt Groening will be joined by writers, animators, and top-secret guests for a celebration featuring an exclusive world-premiere preview of a chilling new story that promises to challenge everything fans thought they knew about Springfield’s most famous family.
Star Trek Universe
- Time: 12:30 p.m.
- Location: Hall H
- Details: Cast members and executive producers of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds offer an exclusive look at what’s ahead. The presentation also celebrates the 60th anniversary of Star Trek with talent from across the franchise, including George Takei, Michael Dorn, Robert Picardo, Connor Trinneer, Cirroc Lofton, Doug Jones, Michelle Hurd, and Jerry O’Connell.
AMC New Series YAGA
- Time: 12:30–1:30 p.m.
- Location: Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront
- Details: Stars Noah Reid, Clark Backo, and Carrie-Anne Moss join showrunner and executive producer Kat Sandler for a discussion and sneak preview of the new AMC+ series. Based on Sandler’s play, YAGA reimagines the Slavic folk tale of Baba Yaga as a contemporary mystery thriller involving a missing heir, enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic. Moderated by Damian Holbrook of TV Guide Magazine and TV Insider.
Star Wars Trivia Party & Autograph Signing

- Details: Join Richard and Sarah Woloski—authors of So You Think You Know Star Wars: 50 Years of Trivia & Fun Facts and hosts of the Skywalking Through Neverland podcast—for live Pop-Up Star Wars Trivia, autographs, and a first look at their upcoming book. Fans can pick up an exclusive autographed bookplate and receive the first limited-edition collectible postcard from the book. There may even be a special surprise for those who pre-order!
Bringing Star Wars Zero Company to Life: Meet the Cast Behind the Highly Anticipated Tactical Star Wars Game

- Details: Meet the cast and creative team behind Star Wars Zero Company and learn how they are bringing an original Clone Wars-era story to life. Marvel Studios Hall H Presentation

- Details: Marvel Studios and special guests from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe present an exclusive look at what’s coming next.
The Science of Tom Cruise Movies
- Time: 8:30–9:30 p.m.
- Location: Room 10
- Details: Scientists and experts explore the real-world physics, anatomy, aviation, aliens, cloning, time loops, vampires, and mummies found throughout Tom Cruise’s filmography. Panelists include astrophysicist Lisa Will, machine-learning scientist Gracie Ermi, anatomy professor Elizabeth Rega, stem-cell biologist Ronald Coleman, aerospace engineer Laine D’Augustine, and retired naval aviator Paul Wynns. Moderated by science communicator Melissa T. Miller.

No Girls Allowed
