TODAY IN STAR WARS HISTORY: 10/7/1950

We wish a Happy 71st birthday to Howard Chaykinl!

Watch the video to see how Richard interacted with him at a recent Comic Book panel at LosCon convention.

Howard Chaykin illustrated the first ten issues of the classic Marvel Star Wars comic series. He was also the artist of the first advance Star WArs poster sold at San Diego Comic Con and Worldcon in Kansas City in 1976 – which is considered to be one of the rarest Star Wars posters. If you bought this in 1976 for $1.75, you’ve made a hefty profit at this point. In 1983 Chaykin launched the successful American Flagg! for First Comics where he was the writer and artist.

Did you ever met Howard Chayikin? What was your experience like? Put the answer in the video comments.
