TODAY IN STAR WARS HISTORY: 10/8/1998
Kenner releases the second preview toy from the upcoming Star Wars Episode I, STAP with Battle Droid, from The Power of the Force “2” line. This came in an awesome window box package that featured art by Doug Chiang. It included the STAP vehicle and a Battle Droid. This was reissued later into the line as a regular release with different, not so impressive, packaging.
Richard shares a story of waiting in line at 6am to buy this toy.
