TODAY IN STAR WARS HISTORY: 9/27/1939 and 1947 – Happy Birthday Rebel Pilots!

TODAY IN STAR WARS HISTORY: 9/27/1939 and 1947

We have to say Happy Birthday to two Rebels pilots from Star Wars: A New Hope!

9/27/1939 – Happy Birthday Garrick Hagon who played Biggs Darklighter  – he is 82 years old!

One of the Biggs scenes was added in the Star Wars: Special Edition in 1997 – great to see after knowing scenes with him existed from books and comics. Rebel Pilots are everywhere!

9/27/1947 – Happy Birthday to Denis Lawson who played Wedge Antilles – he is 74!

Dennis Lawson who plays Wedge in Episodes 4-6, and had a surprising cameo in Rise of Skywalker. He did come back to the Star Wars universe when he narrated the expanded universe audio books, Heir to the Empire and Dark Force Rising where he got to voice his own character.

Did you ever meet Garrick Hagon or Denis Lawson? Did you think you saw the Biggs Tosche Station scene in theaters in 1977? If you have a story about these two actors, or even Rebel pilots, let us know in the video comments.
