Comic-Con Brings You SAM@Home 2020: Storytelling In All Shapes & Sizes
10/24: Learn all about storytelling in media from MANY different perspectives in SAM@Home – One-day FREE event on Comic-Con YouTube Channel.
What is SAM@Home 2020?
This Saturday, October 24th, Comic-Con International brings to you Storytelling Across Media, or SAM@Home 2020. This is a FREE event and will be available on the YouTube Comic-Con Channel. This year’s event will feature 14 panels focusing on storytelling across television, novels, comic books, gaming, and film. You’ll learn how creatives bring a script to life and how television shows get made! The panels will answer many questions. How does film editing tell a story? How can stories be told with tabletop games? Industry experts lead these awesome discussions.
What’s New For 2020?
Want to talk about the panel you just watched? No problem! Just go to the SAM Discord Server during the event. Here you will find a channel for general discussion about storytelling and a gaming channel offering exciting role-playing games. This feature is new for 2020, so that’s very cool!
Also new for SAM@Home 2020 is the Fan Activities, which lets you download some fun items, and there’s even some cool merch available for purchase like shirts, pins, and a set of dice.
The panels are scheduled to start at 11:00 AM PST on 10/24. The day wraps up with a screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on Scener, which begins at 9:00 PM PST. Can’t watch everything on Saturday? (I mean, who honestly has that amount of free time?) No worries. They’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready.
